The TRM Leadership Award is an annual honor bestowed upon the most distinguished volunteer within The Reptile Map (TRM) community. This award recognizes exceptional commitment, leadership, and impact in advancing reptile conservation efforts through our global network. Each year, one outstanding individual is selected for their exemplary contribution to our mission of protecting and documenting reptile species worldwide.
Award Criteria
Setting the Standard for Excellence
Candidates for the TRM Leadership Award are evaluated based on the following criteria:
Dedication: Demonstrates a strong commitment to TRM’s mission by actively participating in projects, initiatives, and events.
Leadership: Takes on a leadership role within the organization, inspiring and guiding others in the community.
Impact: Contributes significantly to reptile conservation efforts, either through direct action, education, or advocacy.
Innovation: Introduces new ideas or approaches that enhance the effectiveness and reach of TRM’s initiatives.
Collaboration: Works effectively with fellow volunteers, chapter leaders, and advisors, fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

NOMINATION PROCESS
Nominations for the TRM Leadership Award are open to all members of the TRM community. You can nominate yourself or another deserving volunteer by completing our Nomination Form. Nominations are reviewed by a panel of TRM advisors and chapter leaders, who will select the award recipient based on the established criteria.
KEY DATES
Nomination Period: January 1st – February 28th
Award Announcement: March 15th
Award Presentation: April 22nd (Earth Day)
